The STEPL Chair from Mey Chair Systems provides a comfortable seat for those working at fixed elevated workstations. A cushioning, gas spring lift provides a seat height range from 23.2" to 33.1", sufficient for most elevated worksurfaces. The STEPL has a wide seat and back, both with 2" padding for comfort. The angles of the seat and back are independently adjustable and the seat back is height adjustable, features that enable individual users to position support where it is most beneficial.

Two footrest options are available. Model 07030 features a 120° steel footrest with an aggressively treaded surface for safety. Model 07033 is equipped with a large 22.8" diameter heavy steel footring that provides a convenient 360° of fixed support for the feet a minimum of 7.5" above the floor. Both footrests can be secured at greater heights if necessary.

Both models have oversized 27" diameter Brushed Aluminum bases for stability. Safety glides ensure safety when mounting and dismounting from the chair.

STEPL chairs are upholstered with supple imitation leather. Model 07030 is available in Black with red accent stitching. Model 07033 is available in Anthracite Grey, with red accent stitching.

This sit-stand chair offers 10" of continuous height adjustment through the patent-pending Lyon Gravity Lock System, featuring postive locking at the set height. An innovative base allows the chair to be positioned wherever you need it. The chair is extremely stable with four strong nylon anti-slip glides which provide stability on most flooring. The ergonomically formed padded polyurethane seat tilts forward up to 20° and swivels 16° in either direction and automatically returns to the center when released. The matte black tubular steel base is durable and looks professional in industrial and office settings.

The 908 Adjustable Saddle Chair with Articulating Backrest from Kanewell offers exactly the same ergonomic benefits, adjustment range, and features as available on the 901 series models. However the re-designed width/splay adjustment mechanism on the 908 lets both halves of the seat now move from a central point. This ensures that the backrest always retains a central position, regardless of the saddle spread, splay or tilt. The large, generously padded, articulating backrest provides customizable support for those situations where a backrest may be desired*.

All of the Kanewell saddles are equipped with a comfortable split-saddle seat with the added benefit of width and angle adjustment for a personalized fit. The Kanewell 908 Adjustable Saddle Stool is well-suited for use in active office environments, at raised counters or elevated workstations, or anywhere there is a need to be able to move into close proximity to the working area—such as dental, medical, or veterinary practices. The upright posture provided by the saddle-seating encourages better back posture, provides a much greater range of movement than that available from traditional seats, and enables virtually effortless movement about a workspace on the 60mm diameter casters.

The split-saddle is designed to reduce pressure points and improve airflow for a cooler and more comfortable experience, especially during longer periods of concentrated work. The Kanewell 908 Adjustable Saddle Stool has a slightly narrower profile than similar non-Kanewell split saddles, a feature that might offer greater comfort to those with larger thighs. Another key difference from these other saddles is the degree of padding that makes the Kanewell 908 Adjustable Saddle Stool more forgiving for those whose body contours may not as closely match the contours of the saddle foundation.

The saddle features a thick layer of polyurethane foam that provides a firm but cushioned seating surface. The 908 series saddle is available upholstered in either Vinyl (better suited where a non-permeable surface for regular cleaning is required) or genuine top-grain Leather that provides a flexible and breathable surface. The two halves of the seat are adjustable for symmetrical separation and angle of splay, and the seat as a whole can be tilted downward if desired.

Optional accessories include a Foot Ring Accessory option can be used to provide stability and comfort support when the chair is elevated above standard heights (the height of the foot ring is adjustable independently of the height of the chair) and optional fixed glides to replace the casters if chair movement is undesirable.

* Note: Although backrests are not generally recommended with saddle seats there are some circumstances where a backrest may be desired. The adjustable backrest models are available both in Vinyl and Leather in both this newer 908 Series as well as the earlier 901 Series Saddles. If there is a possibility that a backrest may be desired at some time in the future it is recommended to plan ahead and purchase an adjustable backrest models because of the much greater adjustment that is available. The backrest does not need to be installed during the initial assembly so the saddle can easily be used as a non-backrest model. However, the backrest adjustment mechanism is always available and the backrest can be installed or reinstalled in seconds.
