The Kangaroo Elite is an adjustable height desk that converts any ordinary desk into a sit-stand desk. It is free-standing (no clamping required) and easily moved to any position on the desk. The main keyboard platform adjusts up or down with the assistance of a gas cylinder (or lift), making quick adjustments throughout the day easy and effortless. This platform is generous compared to most keyboard trays at 28" wide and 24" deep and can be adjusted up to 16.5" above the desk. With the "stopping bolt" feature, it is possible to elevate the platform to a preset desired height every time. The CASSIOPEIA Desktop Sit-Stand Retrofit from ErgoVerse retrofits any stationary fixed-height desk into a sit-stand desk. These freestanding units require no modifications to the existing desk and can be set up in under 10 minutes. The 14" of height adjustment provide keyboard elevations up to 15" above the mounting surface height. The CASSIOPEIA is available in two widths, a Compact model with a 26.75" wide worksurface, and the Standard model that has an ample 35" wide top. With a top depth of 23", monitors can be positioned at an appropriate viewing distance and provide space for other desktop items. In short, the CASSIOPEIA provides all the benefits of a sit-stand desk without compromising workspace. The keyboard tray is 12.75" deep to accommodate non-traditional central pointing devices and of course, traditional mice or trackballs. The CEPHEUS Compact Desktop Sit-Stand Retrofit from ErgoVerse will convert any stationary fixed-height desk into a sit-stand desk. These compact freestanding units require no modifications to the existing desk and can be set up in under 10 minutes. The 15" of height adjustment provide keyboard elevations up to 15.75" above the mounting surface height with a corresponding upper work surface elevation from 5.5" to 20.5".

The CEPHEUS is designed as a compact sit-stand retrofit so the overall depth of the unit is only 24". The actual desk footprint is just 17.5" deep which means that the CEPHEUS can be deployed on desk surfaces as shallow as 18". Because the keyboard projects 6.5" further forward the result is a more ergonomic viewing distance to the monitor(s) as well as an improvement in foot space, both of which are quite limited with very shallow desks. Although the CEPHEUS is designed as a compact solution and does have a shallow footprint, the width of the keyboard tray is still 25.5", enough to accommodate most standard keyboard and mouse combinations. With a depth of 11.625" it is also deep enough for deployment of a central pointing device and an average depth standard keyboard. The upper worksurface is a full 31.5" in width, easily wide enough for placement of very large single monitors and many dual monitor combinations. The 15.75" depth means that even with the monitors in place there is still depth available for placement of documents, especially with an inline document holder.

The gas cylinder mechanism exerts a maximum counterbalance force of 33 lbs when making height adjustments on the CEPHUS and is locked and unlocked via a single release paddle on the right side of the unit. The transverse X-style design permits the keyboard and work surfaces to move straight up or down without forcing one to step away from the desk when moving to a standing position. This means that it also works well in smaller work areas where the cantilever design common on many other sit-stand converters forces individuals to step back and away from the desk. The CEPHEUS adjustment mechanism can be locked at any point within the adjustment range (from 0.75" to 15.75" above the desk surface). The upper work surface maintains a constant 4.75" above the selected keyboard height setting.
Note: Monitors should be placed directly on the CEPHEUS upper work surface. The manufacturer does not endorse the use of monitor arms and cannot support this application. If a larger keyboard tray, upper work surface, or monitor arm mounting is desired the CASSIOPEIA Desktop Sit-Stand Retrofit from ErgoVerse should be considered.

The Goldtouch EasyLift Sit/Stand Desk Pro from Key Ovation can be used to convert almost any standard fixed-height desk into a true sit-stand desk. The EasyLift Sit/Stand Desk Pro offers 40 primary height increments, with the upper work surface being able to adjust from 5" to 20" above the mounting surface. However, unlike most freestanding desktop retrofit solutions, the EasyLift Sit/Stand Desk Pro is also equipped with an articulating keyboard tray that can be positioned anywhere between 3" and 8.5" below the height of the adjustable worksurface. The actual keyboard tray range is from 3.5" below to 17" above the surface where it is mounted, a full 20.5" of keyboard height adjustment. This means that the available keyboard height range is up to 4.5" below and 2" above that of most other similar products, making it able to meet the needs of a much broader range of individuals.

The EasyLift Sit/Stand Desk Pro also has a second feature not commonly available in similar products - adjustable lifting force. Dual front-mounted dials permit adjustment of the lifting capacity to provide up to 27 lbs of upward force, reducing the effort required when moving to a standing position. As the weight of peripherals or documents change the counterforce can be adjusted accordingly.

The 35" wide x 24" deep upper worksurface offers plenty of space for both documents and monitor. Monitors can be placed either directly on the work surface or optional single or dual monitor arms may be mounted to offer a greater range of elevation and/or adjustment. The 26" wide x 10" deep keyboard tray will accommodate most standard keyboard and mouse combinations. An optional palm rest that attaches magnetically is available but when installed reduces the available tray depth to just 8.5".

The Winston Workstation Triple from Innovative is a height-adjustable sit-stand add-on unit that converts that can be deployed on almost any standard height fixed desk, converting it for sitting, leaning or standing. This all-in-one unit will raise a keyboard, mouse, or other desk accessories, including three monitors, to whatever standing height needed (up to 18.0" above desk height for the keyboard platform; up to 37.6" above desk height to the middle of the monitor). This model can accommodate three monitors up to 24" wide (not diagonal) each.

The One Touch Freestand from ErgoTech Group is an freestanding electric motorized desk add-on unit for creating a sit-stand workspace using an existing desk. The Freestand has two worksurface areas: one upper surface for placing documents or other desk objects and one lower surface for keyboard and mouse. Single and Dual monitor mounting kits can then be added to mount monitors using a VESA plate mechanism.

The Freestand holds up to two 27" monitors at once (with a combined weight capacity up to 100 lbs total weight on both surfaces) and has a height adjustable range of 20". The DeskRite 100 Sit-Stand Platform from Posturite can be used to convert almost any standard fixed-height desk into a sit-stand desk. The DeskRite 100 lifts directly out of the box and onto the desk and in seconds the conversion is complete. There is generally no need to modify the existing desk space with the possible exception of overhead cabinets. The DeskRite 100 offers keyboard height adjustment from 0.6" to 15.6" above the mounting surface height - with a total of 40 increments to choose from. The upper work surface is positioned 4" higher than the keyboard tray and moves in concert with the height adjustment. Monitors can be placed directly on the work surface or monitor arms may be mounted to offer a greater range of adjustment.

The DeskRite 100 has two unique features not commonly available in other similar products. The first is that the lifting tension is adjustable via dual front-mounted dials. This means operators are able to fine tune the lifting capacity to match the weight of the documents and peripherals that are in use. For example, if they happen to have a heavy binder on the surface they can increase the tension to ensure that it requires minimal effort to raise the worksurface. The second feature is a sliding keyboard tray that stores back into the unit when not in use. This feature ensures a greater stability for the DeskRite 100 than other solutions which cantilever up and out from the desk when raised for standing. A single monitor is attached to a monitor mount (or bracket) using a standard (75 or 100 mm hole pattern) VESA plate (included). The monitor mount allows for panning, tilting, or rotating the monitor from landscape to portrait positions. The Wallaby is designed so that the the monitor is set at the desired height relative to the keyboard platform and it remains locked in that relative position, that is, the monitor will always move in tandem with the platform. There is an 7” height range of adjustment for setting this initial distance. It is this feature which differentiates the Wallaby from the Kangaroo, since the Kangaroo offers independent monitor height adjustment via a second gas cylinder.

The Wallaby is recommended for monitors up to 15 lbs (without stand attached). For heavier monitors, customized units can be special ordered upon request.

The Taskmate Executive from HealthPostures is a modification-free way to create a full sit to stand workstation on any standard desk. This ruggedly constructed freestanding metal unit weighs over 50 lbs, sufficient to provide stability through its full range of movement. Height adjustment is via an electric motor that raises and lowers the monitor(s) and keyboard simultaneously. The upper surface can be adjusted to any point between 5.5" and 18.5" above the mounting surface, with the articulating keyboard arm offering its own independent range of adjustment of 5" to 10" below any upper surface height setting.
