The Kanewell Twin Compact Adjustable Saddle Seat was developed to provide those of smaller or more slender build with a seating option better suited to their needs. This saddle stool features a comfortable split-saddle seat with the added benefit of splay and tilt adjustment for a personalized fit. The primary design is very similar to other Kanewell Twin Saddle models, with the saddle offering the same amount of cushioning and the same degree of splay at the front. However, because this seat is specifically intended for those of smaller build, the seat halves do not separate at the rear as on the full-size Kanewell Twin saddles, but rather pivot from a single point at the rear of the saddle to achieve the outward splay at the front. In addition to the splay feature the saddle also features the same locking tilt that permits individuals to position the seat at an angle that is most suitable for their needs or comfort.

Saddle seats are well-suited for use in active office environments, at raised counters, elevated workstations, or anywhere there is a need to be able to move into close proximity to the working area—such as dental, medical, or veterinary practices. The upright posture provided by the saddle-seating encourages better back posture, provides a much greater range of movement than that available from traditional seats, and enables virtually effortless movement about a workspace. The split-saddle is designed to reduce pressure points and improve airflow for a cooler and more comfortable experience, especially during longer periods of concentrated work. In order to meet the needs of those of smaller build the saddle on the Kanewell Twin Compact Adjustable Saddle Seat is both narrower and shallower than the standard seat (see comparison here). As well, as has been described earlier, it also has much less separation (see comparison here).

Upholstered in high grade Vinyl that is waterproof and resistant to most common cleaners and disinfectant formulations, the Kanewell Twin Compact seats are available in two height ranges to accommodate individuals of varying heights. Large diameter (60 mm) casters offer smooth movement throughout the workspace. Optional accessories include a footring to provide stability and comfort support when the chair is elevated (the height of the footring is adjustable independently of the height of the chair), the 360° Arm Accessory, and fixed glides as an alternative to the casters.

* Note: Saddle seats are not typically promoted with backrests as the saddle stance naturally encourages better back posture. The addition of a backrest may also limit movement and reduce the ergonomic benefit of a saddle-style seat, as there can be a tendency to relax against the back, reducing the level of core muscle engagement. It is also more difficult to mount and dismount from a saddle when a backrest is present. If a backrest is desired the Kanewell Twin Compact Adjustable Saddle Chair with Articulating Backrest is available as a backrest version.

The FootFidget is an innovative device which addresses the desire for movement in order to assist in maintaining focus on a task, something experienced by many people, young and old alike. The FootFidget provides a discrete means of releasing energy as individuals unobtrusively "bounce" their foot. The resistance bands offer immediate tactile feedback, notifying the muscles that activity is occurring. The included bands offer two levels of response or can be combined to create a third higher level of resistance - more suited for activity while in a standing position at a counter or sit-stand desk. The Focal Fidget Active Stool from Safco Products is a lightweight portable stool that encourages users to actively engage in subtle movements while still remaining seated. The Fidget features a slightly curved bottom plate that enables continuous rocking movements in all directions. The contoured EVA Foam seat cushion provides a comfortable seating experience, whether for just a couple of minutes or for more extended periods. The base is constructed of ABS Plastic and reinforced Nylon with a steel support column capable of supporting up to 300 lbs.

The Fidget Active Stool comes in 3 heights to serve the seating requirements of a wide range of people. The 18" and 22" models will serve most adults for sitting at a traditional office desk or table height, while the 14" model is better suited to the needs of children sitting at a lower height of table or desk.
Note: The Fidget Active Stool is not designed or intended as a long-term seating solution and as such should not be considered for this application. There are numerous other traditional and alternative seating solutions much better suited for long-term sitting.

The Australian designed Bambach Saddle Seat has been in production for over 30 years. This particular model features a longer, flatter front pommel with a wider seat in the rear. It was designed based upon feedback from men who felt the standard models were too "short" and restrictive. The greater width at the rear offers ample support and cushioning for those of larger or heavier build. Although more suitable for men, women with wider hips or larger frame may also find it a suitable fit. This particular model is best suited for those over 5'7" and up to about 6'3". Shorter individuals or those with average or slender build will most likely not find this seat overly comfortable. The upholstery is high quality vinyl that offers a supple leather-like feel.

The LOTAH Sit-Stand Comfort Seat from Mey Chair Systems is well-suited to users who need to work as close as possible to the work surface of an elevated workstation, particularly those built on top of base cabinets or shelves. The LOTAH features a large plush saddle designed to be straddled, rather than leaned against. While keeping the torso in an ergonomically desirable upright orientation, the straddle posture positions the heels behind the bend of the knees, rather than extended forward of the knees as they would be on a leaning stool. Built on a heavy tubular steel base with a gas spring that enables a height adjustment range of 24.8" to 31.5", and with a seat that has 15° of tilt range and 3" of cushioning, the LOTAH Sit-Stand Comfort Seat offers individualized comfort and long-term durability.

The 360° Arm Accessory from Kanewell can rotate to any position around the seat, enabling it to be used as an armrest for either the left or right arm, as a forward leaning or elbow support, or as a stretcher bar for the back. The height of the 360° Arm Support is also adjustable so users are able to move it to the elevation that offers them the most suitable support. The 360° Arm Support can be used by anyone who may need to stabilize themselves while leaning. The 360° Arm Accessory features a thick layer of polyurethane foam which creates a supportive but cushioned resting surface. The high quality vinyl upholstery is resistant to a wide range of common cleaning solution making it suitable for applications were regular cleaning is required.Note: It is generally recommended that any cleaner be carefully tested in an inconspicuous location prior to full application. The 360° Arm Accessory comes as a kit which includes both the 360° Arm Support Accessory as well as a replacement pneumatic spring. Installation on a new Kanewell Twin Adjustable Saddle Stool is done with ease, as part of the stool assembly. Retrofitting a fully assembled Stool requires removal and replacement of the existing gas lift cylinder with the unit included in the kit, thereby ensuring that the Stool retains is original range of height adjustment.

This sit-stand chair offers 10" of continuous height adjustment through the patent-pending Lyon Gravity Lock System, featuring postive locking at the set height. An innovative base allows the chair to be positioned wherever you need it. The chair is extremely stable with four strong nylon anti-slip glides which provide stability on most flooring. The ergonomically formed padded polyurethane seat tilts forward up to 20° and swivels 16° in either direction and automatically returns to the center when released. The matte black tubular steel base is durable and looks professional in industrial and office settings.

The RISON Sit-Stand Leaning Stools from Mey Chair Systems offer users the options of sitting or leaning throughout the workday. The non-vertical, or leaning, stance effectively reduces the weight load on the joints of both the legs and the feet as the stool, rather than the legs and feet, becomes the load bearing support. The upright position also significantly reduces the effort required to return to a fully standing position. The shock absorbing effect of the easily adjusted gas cylinder provides additional comfort when the user sits down.

The fixed seat offers an infinitely adjustable height range and a forward-locking tilt adjustment ranging from 5° to 20°. The polyurethane seat provides a firm yet cushioned seating surface with raised texture bumps. Model 11120 also features a firm polyurethane back support with independent angle adjustment to ensure that a comfortable upright posture can be maintained regardless of the chosen seat angle.
Note: The back on the 11120 has a 2.5" deep curvature in the middle, is 14" wide, and has firm edges. Some users with broader frames may find the back on this model too narrow and deep for a comfortable fit. The EZSIT Comfort Elite Sit-Stand Stool from Mey Chair Systems features a broader back better suited to users of broader build.

The heavy-duty textured black tubular steel base on the RISON Sit-Stand Leaning Stool is designed for industrial settings but functions well in many offices, providing strength and stability. Strong nylon glides engage the floor to ensure firm positioning of the seat and the incorporated rollers permit the chair to be easily moved between workstations. The unique design of the base maximizes stability while greatly reducing the risk of tripping for passersby.

With two height ranges now available, there is a RISON suitable for users from well under 5' to over 6 feet. Models 11113 and 11120 (back version) offer a seat height adjustable from 26" - 35.5" and are suited to users from about 5'2" up to 6'6". The model 11130 is intended for shorter users and should accommodate those of heights ranging from 4'5" to 5'5".

The Salli Swing combines the concepts of upright stance and movement, without the need to stand throughout the day.The unique rocking mechanism enables the seat to freely and continuously tilt or rock on the left-right and front-back axis (and all angles in combination) without any adjustments to the chair. This engages muscles in the abdominal and pelvic area, realizing benefits for the user similar to those that can be obtained through use of an exercise ball. It allows the lower back to remain mobile and the natural curvature of the spine to be maintained. The width of the two halves of the saddle seat are non-adjustable, but the design accommodates the majority of body types.

A gas spring lift provides height adjustment. Available lift sizes and the corresponding heights they accommodate are as follows: Short: 4'0" to 5'2", Mid: 5'1" to 6'1" and Tall: 5'8" to 6'5". The 5-point star base and lift have a chrome finish. The total weight of the chair is 10.9 kg (24 lb), the seat is 7.5 kg (16.5 lb). The Salli Swing is now only available by Special Order. It can be purchased upholstered in either genuine leather or polyurethane faux leather, each available in a range of colours.

The lightweight, compact and mobile Mogo Stool is an easily portable, lean-to stool which can provide relief from extended standing in a variety of environments both indoors and outdoors. The Mogo Stool has three telescoping sections that provide a range in height from 18.5" to 38" in 1" increments to accommodate both children and adults (up to 6'2" tall and under 250 lbs). The Mogo weighs only 2.6 lbs and can be collapsed to only 18.5" long. Its 14.5" x 8" seat pan is made of fibreglass-reinforced nylon and can be detached and snapped onto the leg for transport. The support frame is composed of extruded annodized aluminum and rubber, and features a reversible base that allows the seat to be used on turf or hard surfaces. (Caution: Do not use the Mogo Stool on wet or oily surfaces.)
