The J-Pad from Pretorian Technologies adds new capabilities to their line of products designed specifically for iPad, iPhone*, and iPod* users. The Bluetooth 2.1 connection provides a convenient wireless interface for the iOS 7 Switch Control Scanning, offering users access to all of their device functions. Apps, music, media, iBooks, photography, on-screen keyboard entry are all able to be accessed and controlled through the J-Pad's joystick and touch sensitive buttons. Two sockets also permit the connection of up to two Wired switches where the touch sensitive buttons are not suitable. The SimplyWorks Switch 75 measures 75mm (3 inches) in diameter, is available in four bold eye catching colours and is designed so that the switch will operate across the whole area, with minimal operating force. In addition the base features industry standard fixing holes for quick and easy mounting of the device.

Compatible with any SimplyWorks receiver unit, the SimplyWorks Switch 75 features a 10 metre operating range and is ideal for computer switch access or for controlling toys or games.

Note: The latest release of iOS13 for Apple portable devices includes support for USB Pointing Devices. This means that virtually all of the Pretorian Mouse Replacement solutions can now be used with iPads and iPhones that have iOS13 or newer. Connection to the portable device requires a "camera adapter cable". Because the mousing device will be powered by the phone or tablet it is preferable to use one with pass-through charging so the portable device can charge while the mousing device is attached and in use.
In the case of the SimplyWorks Wireless Switches, the Receive:2 is still required to support the pointing device connection. The Receive:2 plugs into the camera adapter cable and provides the wireless connection to the pointing device.

The Slimline Joystick from Pretorian is an ideal control device for use by those with smaller hands, in particular younger individuals. The small footprint and low profile (claimed by the manufacturer to be the lowest profile joystick available) let it fit where larger devices simply would not be practical. The Slimline offers four easily-changed cursor speeds, dual programmable touch-zones that can support left, double and right clicks or serve as a drag-lock. Custom settings are retained in the on-board memory but can be changed at any time.

For individuals who may inadvertently activate the touch-zones when moving the stick, the Slimline Joystick offers the option of attaching external switches which disable the on-board touch surfaces. Stick movement requires just 0.5 Newtons of force, with a soft-start feature that offers variable speed based on the distance the joystick is displaced from centre. Slight displacement provides fine control for targeting, with greater displacement serving well for rapid movement across a screen. A T-Bar and Soft Ball grip are also included as alternative control grip options.

The Slimline Joystick connects via USB and is compatible with PC, Mac, Chromebook and tablet devices that support external mice. Where a full-size USB port is not available a suitable adapter is required.

The SimplyWorks for iPad offers a convenient wireless connection between an iPad, iPad Mini, iPod or iPhone and up to six wireless Simply Works compatible input devices. It is ideal for situations where existing SimplyWorks devices are already being used with a PC or Mac computer but where there is a desire to extend access to compatible iDevices.

The SimplyWorks for iPad can be used to provide switch control access employing the Switch Control function that is included in iOS 7 and newer releases. The SimplyWorks for iPad connects to the iDevice via Bluetooth wireless, leaving the viewing device free of inconvenient cords.

Employing the optional SimplyWorks Joystick offers access to proportional scanning or alternatively one or more SimplyWorks wireless switches can be connected to achieve the same functionality. Both Forward and Backward Scanning are available in addition to on-screen keyboard scanning and functionality. An integrated keyboard button is available for to instantly deploy or hide the keyboard as needed. An iBooks mode with page turner function is also available.
