The CEPHEUS Compact Desktop Sit-Stand Retrofit from ErgoVerse will convert any stationary fixed-height desk into a sit-stand desk. These compact freestanding units require no modifications to the existing desk and can be set up in under 10 minutes. The 15" of height adjustment provide keyboard elevations up to 15.75" above the mounting surface height with a corresponding upper work surface elevation from 5.5" to 20.5".

The CEPHEUS is designed as a compact sit-stand retrofit so the overall depth of the unit is only 24". The actual desk footprint is just 17.5" deep which means that the CEPHEUS can be deployed on desk surfaces as shallow as 18". Because the keyboard projects 6.5" further forward the result is a more ergonomic viewing distance to the monitor(s) as well as an improvement in foot space, both of which are quite limited with very shallow desks. Although the CEPHEUS is designed as a compact solution and does have a shallow footprint, the width of the keyboard tray is still 25.5", enough to accommodate most standard keyboard and mouse combinations. With a depth of 11.625" it is also deep enough for deployment of a central pointing device and an average depth standard keyboard. The upper worksurface is a full 31.5" in width, easily wide enough for placement of very large single monitors and many dual monitor combinations. The 15.75" depth means that even with the monitors in place there is still depth available for placement of documents, especially with an inline document holder.

The gas cylinder mechanism exerts a maximum counterbalance force of 33 lbs when making height adjustments on the CEPHUS and is locked and unlocked via a single release paddle on the right side of the unit. The transverse X-style design permits the keyboard and work surfaces to move straight up or down without forcing one to step away from the desk when moving to a standing position. This means that it also works well in smaller work areas where the cantilever design common on many other sit-stand converters forces individuals to step back and away from the desk. The CEPHEUS adjustment mechanism can be locked at any point within the adjustment range (from 0.75" to 15.75" above the desk surface). The upper work surface maintains a constant 4.75" above the selected keyboard height setting.
Note: Monitors should be placed directly on the CEPHEUS upper work surface. The manufacturer does not endorse the use of monitor arms and cannot support this application. If a larger keyboard tray, upper work surface, or monitor arm mounting is desired the CASSIOPEIA Desktop Sit-Stand Retrofit from ErgoVerse should be considered.

The PYRCH Saddle Seat from ErgoVerse encourages the adoption of a partially elevated upright stance that encourages more upper body activity, better and deeper breathing, and improved overall blood flow. This type of posture offers a greater range of reach and can also lead to a higher degree of alertness. The upright position also makes it easy to return to a fully standing position, reducing stress on the knees.

When seated on the PYRCH Saddle Seat, the legs are positioned in a wider stance than is possible on a leaning stool or standard chair. Because the saddle can be elevated to any height between 26" and 35.8" it can serve the needs of a wide range of individuals, even those working at elevated workstations. The saddle can also be tilted forward up to 15° and offers a full 360° of free rotation. This capacity for full rotation makes the PYRCH a practical solution for workers who may need to swivel between different work surfaces when accessing parts or equipment. When the seat pan is tilted the PYRCH can also provide a limited degree of leaning capability. The robust black tubular steel base provides strength and stability, with strong nylon glides that ensure secure positioning.

Note: Sitting on a saddle stool elevates the torso higher than a standard seat. Saddle stools are therefore not generally recommended as a replacement for seating at a standard office desk. The GIGCHR Foldable Perching Seat from ErgoVerse is a temporary, foldable seating solution suitable for a wide range of applications. Designed for portability and weighing only 18.7 lbs, the GIGCHR enables musicians, public speakers and others to easily transport the chair between venues or job sites. The chair offers a seat height adjustment range from 21.25" to 35.4" and an ample back height adjustment range, so support can be positioned to provide optimum benefit. The GIGCHR features durable rectangular tube steel construction rated to 264 lbs., simple folding hinges, and easy handwheel adjustment of the seat, back and footrest heights. The non-locking platform tilts freely between 3° and 20°, encouraging flexing of the feet and ankles during use. Arced ridges on the platform prevent the foot from slipping. The platform is formed from strong ABS Plastic with a sturdy steel frame and base providing stability and support. Large rubber feet on the base ensure secure positioning.

The LOBAK Perching Seat is available in two models. Model 11002 features a locking clamp that secures the seat in an upright position but permits the base to fold up against the seat support for storage. Seat height on the 11002 ranges from 23.2" to 30.7" and is suitable for those of average height. Model 11050 features the same seat on a chromed steel, fixed (non-folding) base. With a seat height range from 24.4" up to 34.6", this model is still suitable for most average height individuals but can also comfortably meet the requirements of those standing up to approximately 6'4".

The WTRFL Perching Seat from ErgoVerse offers an angle-adjustable, contoured seating surface for both perching and leaning applications. The naturally-shaped seat features a flowing design with a softly rounded front that rises slightly to provide a "ledge" effect that can counter the "slippage" sensation that flatter seats may generate. The EQUSIT Saddle Drafting Chair from ErgoVerse features a heavily padded, tilting, bicycle-style seat mounted to an elevated heavy duty steel frame. A gas spring provides a cushioned seat height range from 27.75" to 36.6", sufficient to provide a suitable seating height for most individuals working at elevated workstations. The wide back features 2" thick cushioning and has independent height and angle adjustments to optimize the comfort and ergonomic positioning.

Two footrest options are available. Model ESDC-83015 features a large 22.8" diameter heavy steel footring that includes a convenient height-adjustable (minimum of 9" above the floor) 360° fixed footrest. Model ESDC-F-83016 features a folding height-adjustable (also to a minimum height of 9") 120° footrest with angle adjustment. For safety, the steel footplate has an aggressively treaded surface. Both styles of footrest can be secured at greater elevations if necessary.

Both models also have oversized 27" diameter Chromed Steel bases equipped with glides. The large base and glides ensure stability when mounting and dismounting from the saddle. If desired, the base on Model ESDC-F-83016 can be folded flat for storage.

Both the seat and back rest are formed from firmly cushioned self-surfaced polyurethane foam that can be easily wiped down, ideal for workplaces where regular cleaning may be necessary. The fibreglass-reinforced base is equipped with special self-braking casters which permit the CITZ to roll freely when in use but brake when weight is lifted. This ensures that the seat doesn't roll but rather remains in the same position, adding to the safety and enhancing the ability of the seat to aid workers in maintaining focus on the task at hand. A full 360° of free rotation accommodates alignment to equipment or reaching to other work areas as needed. The gas lift provides a seat height anywhere between 20.9" and 26.4" and the seat also has the option of forward tilt up to 15°.
