The X-keys XBE-24 Keypad from PI Engineering is a robust programmable keypad that lets individuals customize their input by mapping complex macros, specialized commands, and shortcuts to a single key. The keypad can be programmed in two ways. In software mode the programming software stores the program on the host computer, ideal for situations where revisions to the programming may be required. In hardware mode the programming is written to the internal memory and the device can be pre-programmed and then deployed to any computer that accepts USB keyboard input.

The XBE-24 Keypad can be programmed in 2 distinct layers with 46 programmable functions and serve as addition or substitution to the standard USB keyboard. This device can send keystrokes to any operating system or application which recognizes a USB keyboard. Clear key lenses keep printed or handwritten legends securely in place and protect them from wear while making it quick and easy to update them. XBE-24 keypads are also equipped with fully addressable RGB backlighting (both colour and intensity), and have two separately programmable LEDs per switch.

The Free MacroWorks 3 (MW3) Software for Windows provides simple programming for launching applications, opening files or accessing directories. It also facilitates the insertion of special characters, foreign language letters and symbols as Unicode text strings which can then be assigned to any key. MacroWorks 3 can be used to program the keypad in hardware mode for deployment on Mac computers. Mac users also have the option of the basic X-Keys Mac App or the third party Keyboard Maestro software. PI Engineering's new PI3 firmware offers new capabilities to the developer including flash updates, a joystick / mouse emulation and the newly developed Reflector Mode. Reflector Mode allows the developer to send outbound messages to the X-keys which can be reflected back to the Operating System in keyboard, mouse or joystick data stream.

XBE-24 Keypads are designed for survival in rough environments with a machined aluminum housing. The robust design makes these equally suitable for deployment in office or industrial settings. The base is angled to offer enhanced viewing in landscape mode and the backlighting also makes them ideal where lighting levels are low.

The X-Keys O-Trac from PI Engineering is a robustly built trackball with a long history of durability, reliability and performance, carrying on the legacy of the PC-Trac Trackballs formerly manufactured by Clearly Superior Technologies.

The X-Keys O-Trac Trackball offers a gently-angled profile that serves as a natural hand rest. The gradual curve of the body mirrors the natural contour of the hand and is designed to easily accommodate both right- and left-handed use, as well as multiple hand sizes.

Unlike most trackballs on the market, the high density phenolic trackball in the O-Trac has significant inertia. This provides far more tactile feedback than that normally offered by mass market trackballs, while still offering smooth response to even a light touch. The PC-Trac also offers "dynamic acceleration" which increases distance covered proportional to the speed of rotation. X-keys Trackballs work right out of the box, no software is required. If you wish to assign different functions to the buttons the manufacturer recommends using X-Mouse Button Control.

An X-Keys Programmable Foot Switch lets you use your foot to activate any keyboard command. The large center pedal has minimal travel for your most heavily used key action. The outer "piano-key" pedals offer two additional actions without having to search for a second and third footswitch on the floor!

Replace repetitive keystrokes or mouse clicks with the action of your foot. Enter, Tab, Shift, Ctrl, Alt... anything you can type on the keyboard can be memorized by the X-keys including Key combinations like Copy (Ctrl+C), Paste (Ctrl+V), Save (Ctrl+S), and Next Program (Alt+Tab). Using the same proven hardware as the X-keys Programmable Keyboards, the X-keys Matrix Boards connect to the computer through a standard USB port. Your custom switches or keys connect to the board via a standard two row header with 0.1" pin spacing. Programming is done with a standard keyboard and memorized commands are fed to your computer as if they were coming from a standard keyboard. Any sequence or combination of keystrokes may be assigned to any of the 128 (USB) possible switches in the matrix. Any switch, even toggle and rotary switches, can be connected to the matrix.

Programming and reprogramming the switches is simple and fast. The X-keys stores scan codes in its internal memory -- it can be programmed on one computer and moved to another with its programming intact.

The X-Keys USB 3 Switch Interface Orby Bundle from PI Engineering is a complete solution for generating up to 3 custom commands, complex macros or long strings of data. Free downloadable software for PC, MAC, and Android operating systems enables users to quickly create and program custom commands and macros to the compact X-Keys USB 3 Switch Interface. The 3 Switch Interface requires software for programming but is self-reliant for operation. This means it can be programmed on one computer and transferred between computers as needed, providing an instant and easily portable customized control solution where needed.

The Orby Bundle includes a 3-way splitter cable as well as three highly visible (Red, Green & Yellow) 2.5" diameter Orby Switches for easily activated input control.

X-Keys Orby Switches from PI Engineering offer users a low (100 g) activation force with a clearly audible click for notification of both activation and deactivation. The 2.5" diameter surface activates the switch from any contact location and is large enough to provide a significant target zone without being two large for practical placement.
