Kinesis contoured keyboards are based on a unique, patented design that minimizes the pain and strain typists experience from heavy use of conventional computer keyboards. The Classic offers ergonomic and programmability features most suitable for the everyday computer user.

Classic (basic programmable) models
This is the most popular and versatile model of our contoured keyboard family. Easily customized, it is optimal for most computer users. You can buy the optional software and accessories you need, without paying for things you won't use.

Compatibilty
· PS/2 systems, Windows 95/98/2000, ME and NT (includes Windows key actions)
· The Classic MPC model is Mac/PC switchable for all older Macintosh computers having an ADB port. For newer Macs with USB ports, purchase a PC keyboard and a PS/2 to USB adapter.
· All models are Sun compatible when used with a Kinesis Interface II for Sun.

Layout Options for the Classic contoured keyboard

· The familiar Qwerty key layout is standard
· The embedded keypad offers maximum productivity and comfort for 10-key users, especially using a foot switch.
· The Optional Dvorak key layout speeds typing. All Classic and Professional keyboards switch on the fly. Note: Except for "QD" models, keycap legends are Qwerty only.
· Want dual legends? Buy a "QD" Qwerty-Dvorak switchable model, or get an upgrade kit later. Sorry, but Dvorak-only legends are Not available.
· MPC keyboards switch between PC and older Macintosh (ADB) systems. On Mac, support special Macintosh key actions.
