What is the Difference between the 7Flex and 7500 Series LCD Arms?

SUPPORTED WEIGHT: The 7Flex arm supports monitors from 4 to 14.5 pounds. The 7500 Deluxe LCD is available in 4 different weight ranges - all the way from 2 to 44 pounds (see above).

CABLE MANAGEMENT: Both products include cable management, but the 7Flex uses exposed clips to loosely hold cables beneath the arm. The 7500 Deluxe LCD routes cables internally through the body of the arm, preventing them from coming loose or being snagged, and hides them away out of sight and the elements.

AVAILABLE COLORS: The 7Flex is offered in black only, whereas the 7500 Deluxe LCD can be purchased in black (104i) , silver (119i), gray (special order) and pearl white (special order).

ARM BASE / THICKNESS: The mounting point is 15% smaller on the 7Flex compared to the 7500 Deluxe LCD, and the arm itself is smaller as there is an external as opposed to internal cable management system. As such the swivel (from the base) is more stable and smoother on the 7500 than on the 7Flex.

SUMMARY: The 7Flex is an ideal all-purpose consumer LCD arm, while the 7500 Deluxe LCD is a more robust arm capable of handling a broader range of applications, with less hassle due to its innovative internal cable management design, making it popular in healthcare applications, office environments and situations where customers may be in close proximity to the monitor (i.e. offices where you meet clients, point of sale applications, etc.).

7500 Series LCD Arm Extender (8395-12-CM-104, 8395-12-TM-104)

This accessory raises the Mounting Point of 7500 Series arms by 12.0" and is recommended by ErgoCanada.

This mount extender for the 7500 Series arms from IOP is a useful accessory for creating a sit/stand workstation where wall-mounting is impractical. It raises the mounting point of the 7500 arm by 12.0" without compromising any of the vertical or horizontal range of the arm. Both a Clamp Mount and a Through Mount are available.

NOTE: The Through Mount is the same style as the POS IOP Arms in that you drill 4 screws into the mounting surface as opposed to a single central bolt. Click here for the Bolt Mounting Pattern

Extender Tube (Part Number 8171-75-6-104I (Black) or 8171-75-6-119I (Silver))

This extender tube will raise the height of your arm by 6" (Large Extender Tube), which will allow you the full range of vertical movement when the arm is deployed over a desk top surface. It does not impede 360° rotation. We do not recommend the use of this extender as it can cause a potential for instability in the arm. We recommend the 8395 extender instead.

Handle Set (Part Number 8291-104I (Black) or 8291-119I (Silver))

This accessory provides convenient handles to use while repositioning the LCD monitor. This addresses sanitary concerns as you can wrap the handles in disposable plastic. Available in black, grey or white. Handles adjust from 15.3" to 20.5" in width (measuring from inside the handles). They weigh 7 lbs, so when selecting your cylinder take this into account (i.e. if your monitor is 20 lb and you are using the handle as well, then the total weight on the arm is 27 lbs and you should get the 1500 cylinder as opposed to the 1000 cylinder).

Keyboard Arm Adapter bracket (Part Number 8131-50-10)

• REQUIRED attachment for 8136, 8137 and 8138 keyboard trays.
• Allows monitor and keyboard simutaneous vertical motion (height adjustment) and tilt (to provide negative inclination on keyboard worksurface)
• Individual rotation and pivot of monitor and keyboard (through arm)
