An alternative mouse, the Mousetrapper Advance eliminates the need to reach for your pointing device by placing a steering pad (not a touchpad) immediately below your keyboard next to your hands. This steering pad is like a hybrid between a touchpad, a treadmill and a cylindrical bar pointing device.

Because it is designed to work with your keyboard, the Mousetrapper functions like an extension of your keyboard without overextending your arms. It has an easy-to-manoever steering pad along with five non-tactile buttons to perform frequent actions like right click, left click, double click, etc.

You can even scroll up and down a page using the right-hand side of the steering pad (like on a Cirque touchpad!). It also has palm supports to cushion your palms while keying and using the steering pad, and comes in black housing with an attached flexible gray mat to place your keyboard on.

This keyboard features an 86 key keyboard with no embedded numeric keypad (unlike almost every other compact keyboard). It also has 12 dedicated function keys, and 6 internet hot keys. All the keys on this keyboard are full size with the exception of the top row on the keyboard. Although the membrane keyswitches are low-travel, they are still standard membrane (not stabilized scissor-switch membrane or 'laptop style' keys).
