The Eureka Standing Desk Converter 36 from Eureka Ergonomic converts a fixed-height desk into a height-adjustable sit-stand "desk". With a full 36" width of upper surface there is plenty of space for documents and materials to be kept readily accessible. It is free-standing (no clamping required) and can be moved between locations without disassembly. Dual hand-operated releases permit infinite keyboard height adjustment to any point from 1.125" - 15.75" above the mounting surface. If mounted on a 29.5" high surface this will provide a standing height suited to users up to well over six feet tall. The upper worksurface and the keyboard tray move in concert, maintaining a 4.25" difference between the two levels. In order to minimize the physical demands upon the user, adjustment is assisted by a gas spring rated up to a maximum combined rating of 35 lbs (5 on keyboard tray, 30 on worksurface). Ready-to-use out of the box, the Eureka Standing Desk Converter 36 is available in a rich Cherry finish.
The keyboard tray features left and right mousing areas that are 9.4" deep x 8.3" wide with enough space (over 19") between them to accommodate a full-size keyboard. The central portion of the tray is 14" deep, enough to accommodate a keyboard and central pointing device or a laptop. A slot at the rear of the keyboard tray serves to keep a phone or tablet viewable and accessible at all times when using a keyboard.
The upper worksurface is 15.75" deep in the middle (see dimension image in the image gallery) with left and right 6.25" W areas that extend forward another 6.25" to provide additional space for documents, phone or gaming devices.
The large surface can support dual monitors up to 24" diagonal placed directly on the worksurface or up to 30" diagonal when deployed using clamp mount monitor arms to provide greater adjustment.
Note: The The Eureka Standing Desk Converter 36 will NOT fit on a 24" desk unless there is at least 1.5" of clearance behind the desk. When the Eureka Standing Desk Converter 36 is at its lowest setting the upper worksurface extends 1.375 inches back beyond the base, making it best suited to installation on surfaces at least 30" in depth or where there is sufficient clearance behind the base. At the lowest setting the overall depth of the unit is 32.5" so even on a 30" deep desk the front edges of the tray will extend out about 2.5". When the unit is raised it cantilevers forward towards the user as it rises, to an overall depth of 38.375" at the highest setting, extending about 8.5" out from the front of a 30" deep mounting surface. |
