The LeanRite Elite Standing Chair from Ergo Impact is an ideal seating solution for sit-stand desk users who wish to spend most of their desk time out of a traditional seated position. The LeanRite Standing chair offers Leaning, Perching, Sitting, Standing, Resting and Stretching postures and unlike other alternative seating products that "try" to offer multiple positions, the LeanRite Elite actually "succeeds", not at just one but in ALL of the various positions.
The LeanRite Elite Standing Chair employs a unique dual pneumatic cylinder adjustment to raise the seat portion well above any range achievable with standard seating. This enables users to in seconds convert the LeanRite from use for sitting, leaning or perching into a back rest, lumbar support, or propping stand. The tilting "seat" can be pivoted to fully vertical to serve as a backrest while standing or to lean forward against for a change of posture. The self-skinned foam seat is designed to present a gently contoured natural curve to whichever part of the body is in contact. Whether being used as a backless chair, for perching or leaning, as a backrest or lumbar support, or simply as a prop to rest the arm on while taking a break, the seat/backrest/lumbar support contour to the body and presents a comfortable cushioned surface.
The LeanRite gains exceptional stability for all functions from the fact that it incorporates a standing base. Regardless of what posture is adopted, the user is always resting their weight on the base, becoming their own counterweight. This ensures that they are firmly supported, especially when leaning against the seat. The base is also equipped with a well-cushioned anti-fatigue mat for greater comfort during longer work periods.
The LeanRite Elite is also very mobile. Despite weighing 37 pounds the LeanRite can be moved with minimal effort. Two wide casters at the rear of the chair permit users to tilt the entire unit back using the contoured handle in the seat and effortlessly roll the seat wherever it is needed.
The LeanRite is able to meet the seating requirements for a wide range of user heights. However, those under 5'0" or over 6'5" may not be able to fully benefit from all positions.
Reduces Strain on Knees - Rising from a traditional chair to a leaning or standing position can put a significant strain on the knees. Using a LeanRite to regularly switch between leaning, perching and standing can reduce the need to move to a seated position. Moving between these positions is much easier and puts less strain on the knees.
Reduces Risk of Lower Limb Circulation Problems - Leaning or perching on the LeanRite leaves the legs more relaxed than when standing. This frees the user to flex the muscles of the lower legs and, by doing so, to encourage better circulation. Being able to limit the amount of static standing and introducing the muscle contractions can reduce the risk of developing edema in the lower legs.
Can Facilitate Improved Functioning of Digestive and Cardiovascular Systems - The conventional seated position (i.e. 90° bend) restricts both blood and fluid flows through the internal organs. The more upright standing, leaning, perching, and propping positions that the LeanRite Elite offers can be of benefit to the digestive and cardiovascular systems. These positions can reduce potential constrictions in the digestive tract and, by opening up the core and allowing the diaphragm to move more freely, can significantly increase cardiovascular activity.
Increases Mental Alertness - Leaning or Perching stances permit the diaphragm to move more freely and fully. This increased movement facilitates more effective oxygenation of the brain and thereby contributes to a greater degree of mental alertness.
Reduces Risk of Lower Back Pain - Standing with the feet flat for extended periods of time (such as at a standing desk or counter) requires the muscles of the lower back to remain in a state of constant tension (even more so if the abdominal muscles are weak.) As the muscles tire, the back tends to curve or arch, which can often lead to an unnatural and unhealthy degree of lordosis (sometimes referred to as "swayback"). Since some degree of unnatural curvature is already common to many back problems, a standing workstation has the potential to increase, rather than decrease, pain and fatigue. The LeanRite Elite Standing Chair addresses this by providing a multi-position lumbar/back support function that can offer support to the muscles of the lower back. This can reduce or eliminate the need for sustained muscle tension, permitting the cells to flush toxins and rejuvenate. The leaning, perching or other positions that can be achieved with the LeanRite Elite all encourage active muscle movement - a key to avoiding muscle fatigue that can be a contributing factor to lower back pain.
Leaning or Perching tilts the pelvis slightly forward, encouraging the spine to return to the natural, gently curved S-shape that provides the greatest strength, stability and support for the entire body. The LeanRite Elite Standing Chair offers multiple positions so users can make regular adjustments to their posture, rather than maintaining a fixed seated or standing position.
Encourages Core Muscle Maintenance - Traditional seating permits the core muscles to fully relax and become lazy. The standing, perching, or leaning stances offered by the LeanRite permit users to flex and relax the muscles of the back and core as they keep the torso stabilized during the work session. This helps to maintain muscle tone in those muscle groups without overtiring them.
Increases Movement for Better Health - The wide range of positions afforded by the LeanRite Elite encourages users to shift stance on a regular basis. Because the LeanRite can be adjusted in a matter of seconds users will more readily take advantage of the options available and thereby introduce more movement and mobility to their workday.
Extends Range of Movement - Working from a standing or semi-standing position offers users a noticeable increase in range of motion and reach compared to conventional chairs or stools. This extends the Comfort Zone and allows access to a larger area of the work surface, while at the same time reducing the risk of overextension. Learn More About the Comfort Zone.
Wide Range of Height Adjustment: The LeanRite Elite Standing Chair will accommodate user heights from 5'0" to 6'5". Shorter users may need a footrest if wishing to use the seated position. Those up to 6'1" should be able to fully benefit from all positions but those over 6'1" may find that the back rest or lumbar support positions are a bit low.
Padded Seat/Back Rest/Lumbar Support: The LeanRite Elite Standing Chair was designed to provide comfort regardless of the application. The cushioning is firm but soft enough to provide comfort. The cushion was carefully contoured to ensure a naturally curved supporting surface for whatever position is in use. The multi-use design encourages users to change position either before or when discomfort sets in. The cushion is a sealed closed membrane foam with a self-skinned surface for ease of cleaning.
Quality Construction: The LeanRite Elite frame is manufactured from aircraft grade aluminum and offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty for ease of mind.
Cushioning Gas Springs: The LeanRite Elite features dual gas springs for height adjustment. These also serve as shock absorbers to help absorb impact as the user rests their weight as well as generating a more comfortable overall seating experience.
Infinite Height Adjustment: Cushion height can be easily adjusted to any point within the adjustment range using either of the gas spring cylinders. The release for the lower cylinder (for higher elevations) is activated with the foot, while the upper cylinder uses a simple hand-activated lever (similar to the mechanism on a standard office chair).
Large Transport Rollers: The LeanRite is equipped with wide, large diameter rollers that facilitate easy movement where needed. A handle is integrated into the cushion so users are able to simply tilt the LeanRite back onto the rollers and almost effortlessly move it as needed.
Tilting Cushion: The LeanRite Elite cushion is designed to serve as a chair seat, perching or leaning seat, back rest, or lumbar support. In order to accomplish these various positions the cushion can be tilted to a suitable angle via a locking lever that facilitates infinite positioning.
