Full Travel Mini Keyboard

The Full Travel Mini Keyboard from SolidTek features full size alpha-numeric keys and key pitch, with the remaining keys reduced in width to reduce the overall footprint. This allows the keyboard to offer a minimal 12" wide x 5.15" deep footprint on the desk, and at 0.85" tall, this keyboard is also portable if required. The full-travel (3.5 mm) tactile rubber dome switches generate a crisp typing response. By employing a unique clover leaf keyswitch design, the completely flat keycaps are stabilized, preventing them from tilting in any direction.

The low profile flat keycaps give this keyboard the "look" of a laptop-style keyboard while retaining the more traditional "feel" of a standard full-size keyboard. Because the keycaps are low profile and flat, the gap between the tops is quite small compared to keyboards that have crowned keycaps that narrow at the top. However, as the key pitch (i.e. spacing) on the alpha-numeric keys is standard, the comparatively larger keycap tops are easier to target than on many similar keyboards that have a reduced key pitch.

In order to achieve its compact width the keyboard does not include a discrete numeric keypad. However, for those whose work may require occasional numeric data entry there is an embedded keypad located in the right half of the keyboard (identified by alternate blue legends) and accessed via the FN key.

• Compact Dimensions: The compact size of the Full Travel Mini Keyboard makes it ideal for smaller spaces. In order to achieve this compactness, the dedicated number pad has been eliminated (replaced by the embedded keypad) and many of the lesser used keys have been reduced in size.
• Embedded Numeric Keypad: The Full Travel Mini Keyboard is compact due to the elimination of an integrated numeric keypad on the left or right hand side. However, it does have an embedded numeric keypad in the right hand keys. The numbers can be accessed using these instructions.
• Full Travel Stabilized Keys: Many mini keyboards have low or reduced travel keying action. The Full Travel Mini Keyboard provides a standard 3.5 mm key travel, which improves keying speed and accuracy. The innovative cloverleaf design prevents the keycap from tilting in any direction, ensuring a stable key movement.
• Portable: The slim profile and dimensions mean that the Full Travel Mini Keyboard is highly portable. Combining it with a portable laptop stand to elevate a laptop screen can greatly improve ergonomics when working remotely.

• If you have larger hands you may wish to consider a different keyboard as the reduced widths of most of the secondary keys may make targeting of these keys difficult. There are numerous keyboards that are still considered "compact" but that retain full-size keys throughout.
• This compact keyboard will work equally well for you whether you position your mouse on the right or left sides. The narrow footprint should aid you in reducing your reach on either side. If you feel that you still need a wrist support of some sort you may want to consider adding the low profile SAMA Palm Support. At just 0.5" in thickness and just 12" wide the SAMA will support the palms for a comfortable neutral alignment of the wrists.
• Familiarize yourself with the embedded numeric keypad. If your work requires occasional periods of more intense numeric entry using the numeric keypad may prove to be convenient. If the embedded numeric keypad does not meet your requirements consider adding one of the external numeric keypad options available as accessories.
