Product Summary |

The R-Go Riser Duo Tablet and Laptop Stand from R-Go Tools is a highly portable and re-configurable stand that can be used to elevate both laptop and tablet screens for improved viewing ergonomics. For tablet screens in particular it offers an exceptional screen height. In both laptop and tablet modes the stand also serves as an inline document holder, supporting documents directly below the screen.
The R-Go Riser Duo is constructed of lightweight aluminum composite for ease of transport and the entire unit compacts down to just 5 mm in thickness. Folding and unfolding the stand can be completed in just seconds, making it ideal for on-the-go use. In both laptop and tablet modes there are 4 positions available to accommodate personal preferences in screen elevation, raising an average laptop screen 6" or more above the surface and tablets over 9". Elevating the screens greatly reduces the downward bend in the neck and/or torso required when a laptop or tablet is placed directly on a desk or table.
Note: This stand is designed to be used with an external keyboard and mouse. |
Ergonomic Benefits |
---|
Improves Body Posture and Comfort Level - When a laptop is used on a standard desk (so that the bottom of the screen is essentially only 1-2" above the tabletop), individuals are forced to look downward at the screen, bending their neck and adopting a stooped posture. Elevating the laptop screen permits them to straighten their back, neck and head when looking at the screen, improving comfort and avoiding potential injuries due to poor posture and 'hunching'. Learn More About Incorrect Monitor Position.
Aids in Avoiding Neck Pain - The integrated inline document holder locates reference materials centrally, directly between the individual and the laptop screen. With the documents centrally positioned as well as elevated and angled for optimum viewing, the need to overextend when organizing documents or to twist the neck in order to view them is eliminated. This greatly reduces these awkward repetitive movements of the neck or back.
Can Facilitate Improved Mouse and Keyboard Ergonomics - Many laptop keyboards feature reduced keycap size and spacing that create a non-ergonomic environment. Mounting the laptop to the stand means that a separate keyboard and mousing device must be used. This provides opportunity to create a more ergonomic workspace by selecting a keyboard with standard keyspacing and other ergonomic features as well as a suitable ergonomic mousing device.

Usage Tips |
---|
- Use the angle adjustment feature to elevate your screen. Optimal viewing height (top of screen at eye level) may not be fully achievable but the closer you can get to this point, the less strain there will be on your neck.
- Whenever possible, place paper reference documents inline, using the foam lip on the front stabilizer to keep them in place. Doing this will reduce the need to turn to the side or to look down at your screen. Not only will this be beneficial to your neck and back, it may also improve productivity as it also makes it much easier to compare data on the screen with that on the reference documents.
- If stand has been exposed to freezing temperatures be sure to let it warm to room temperature before setting up.
- When selecting an external keyboard and mousing device look for those that will provide the most ergonomic environment while still providing portability (if required). If you work primarily in the office you will want to optimize that area with the most ergonomic keyboard and mouse solutions and possibly consider more portable solutions for your mobile use.
