The VIP3 Accessory Kit adds a tenting option with integrated Palm Supports of 5°, 10° or 15° to the Freestyle2 Keyboards. The Palm Supports affix directly to the keyboard and move with the keyboard as it is adjusted to the desired tenting angle using the Tenting Modules. This versatile add-on reduces pronation and prevents wrist extension while typing, reducing the risk of fatigue, stiffness and pain in the wrists, forearms and elbows. If desired the Tenting Modules can be removed for "flat" usage without removing the Palm Supports. The VIP3 Accessory Kit includes one set each of the Tenting Modules, Palm Supports, and Palm Pads.
Note: The Freestyle2 VIP3 Accessory Kit is only compatible with the Freestyle2 (KB8XX Series) models. It is NOT compatible with the Freestyle Solo (KB7XX Series) or the the Freestyle Pro and Freestyle Edge mechanical keyboards (KB9XX Series)

Eliminates Wrist Extension - The Palm Support portion of the VIP3 Accessory can be used without the tenting modules if desired but must be attached when the tenting units are in use. By providing a place for the palm of the hands to rest when not actively keying, the Palm Supports keep the wrists from dropping into a position of extension which can lead to injury. Palm Support Always at Keyboard Height: The VIP3 Accessory Kit includes palm supports that attach directly to the keyboard. These can be used without the tenting modules attached (i.e. keyboard flat on the surface), or to provide elevated palm supports when the tenting modules are in use. Because the palm supports move with keyboard they are always positioned for optimum support, regardless of the keyboard angle.
Multi-Angle Tenting: The tenting modules can be adjusted to 5°, 10°, and 15° angles. Because they attach to the keyboard modules independently it is possible to have the keyboard halves set at different angles.
Freely Adjustable: Angle and splay can be adjusted independently for almost limitless adjustments.
Bounce-free Design: The VIP3 Accessory offers a high degree of stability - even when typing at 15° of elevation.
Cushioned Pads: The VIP3 Accessory Kit comes with cushioned pads that can be attached to the palm supports for greater comfort.

When attaching the Tenting Modules be sure to match them to the appropriate keyboard modules. For ease of assembly modules are marked as Right and Left.
Experiment with the different angles to determine what position is most comfortable. It is probably best to start at the 5° position while adapting to this new keyboard orientation, and then move on to the 10 and 15° angles.
Because the two modules are totally independent you are free to use different angles on each side. It also lets you easily adjust the splay (angle at which the two keyboard halves are aligned to each other) and separation of the keyboard to optimize "your" comfort. You will no longer have to force your body to conform to a fixed position that in non-ergonomic or that does not accommodate your body type or size.
If you prefer a little more cushioning for your palms, make a point of attaching the palm pads. Replacement pads are also available.
