The Goldtouch Go!2 Mobile Keyboard strikes a balance between the opposing demands of ergonomics and portability. Like the Goldtouch desktop keyboards, (GTN-0099, GTU-0088, GTN99-FC), the Go!2 Mobile Keyboard can be splayed to reduce ulnar deviation; tented to reduce pronation; or both tented and splayed. Weighing only 1.1 lbs, and only 13.5" wide when in use, the keyboard is easily folded in half for compact storage and transport. Quiet, full-sized, low-travel scissor-switch membrane keys are legended for both PC and Mac operating systems. While the surface of the keyboard is flat, the housing of the Goldtouch Go!2 Mobile Keyboard has a slight positive incline when the keyboard is not tented.
The Goldtouch Go!2 Mobile Keyboard is available in both wired and Bluetooth models. The Wired model (GTP-0044) offers Secondary Function access to an embedded numeric keypad for those using a Windows OS and multimedia controls in both Windows and Mac OS. The Bluetooth model (GTP-0044W) do NOT have an embedded numeric keypad. Both models offer several other functions in Windows OS (see the User Manual.)
Warning: Do Not Plug your USB Goldtouch Keyboard into the Goldtouch Numeric Keypad. Your PC will not recognize the device. The keyboard should be plugged directly in the computer or a USB hub.
Offers Portable Comfort - Working on a laptop or notebook computer, or using a small, external keyboard, mobile professionals often have to prioritize light-weight, space saving design over ergonomic risk reduction. The Goldtouch Go!2 Mobile keyboard provides both—the portability these individuals require, along with the ability to type comfortably and safely in coffee shops and conference rooms, in hotels and on airplanes.
Reduces Strain on the Wrists - When the two halves of the keyboard are splayed outward, the forearm, wrist and hands remain in comfortable alignment throughout the work session. Ulnar deviation (an outward bend at the wrists) is eliminated and the risk of injury to the wrist is significantly reduced. Learn More About Ulnar Deviation.
Limits Strain on the Elbow Joint - The tenting option facilitates typing with the palms slightly facing each other. This anatomically neutral position places little strain on the elbow joints, and is much less likely to injure tissues than the pronated “palms down” position must commonly adopted when typing on a flat keyboard. Learn More About Pronation.
Reduces Strain on the Shoulder and Neck - The Goldtouch Go2! Mobile Keyboard has no numeric keypad to impede access to the mouse, reducing the risk of overreach injuries to the muscles of the shoulder and neck. Learn More About Overreaching Outside the Comfort Zone.
Ultra-Compact Design: At only 13.5" wide, the Goldtouch Go2! Mobile Keyboard fits easily into carry-on bags, and makes efficient use of small or impromptu workspaces.
Locking Ball and Socket Joint: The left and right halves of the Goldtouch Go2! Mobile Keyboard are connected by a ball and socket joint. A sturdy lever locks the chosen configuration into place. Note that some precise adjustments may be necessary to ensure the two halves are symmetrical before the lock is secured.
Variable Tenting: Continuously variable tenting up to 30° allows individuals to choose the height most suited to their ergonomic needs.
Rubber Feet: The Goldtouch Go!2 Mobile Keyboard has rubber strips to prevent slippage on the worksurface when either flat or tented.
Variable Splay: The Goldtouch Go2! Mobile Keyboard can be splayed horizontally from 0° to 30°, allowing for personal preferences to be considered. Each individual can choose the degree of splay most suited to their body type within the constraints of an improvised workstation.
Embedded Numeric Keypad (On Wired Model only): In addition to the number row along the top of the keyboard, the Wired model of the Goldtouch Go2! Mobile Keyboard includes an embedded numeric keypad on the right module for use in Windows-based OS.
Full-Sized Key Cap Tops: The keycaps on the Goldtouch Go2! Mobile Keyboard are full sized and use scissor-switch membrane technology for quiet, accurate, and distraction-free typing.
Load-Balancing: The editing keys are evenly distributed to balance the workload on the hands and fingers. The Home, End, Page Up and Page Down keys are on the left; the Delete, Print Screen, Pause/Break, and Backspace keys are on the right.
Convenient Print Screen Key: The Print Screen key is prominently placed on the right side of the keyboard beside the arrow keys.
Mac and PC Compatibility: A switch on the underside of the keyboard instantly converts the keyboard for either PC or Mac use.
PC/Mac Legending: Key caps are legended for both PC and Mac use so there is no need to remember which keys are assigned different functions when using a different OS.
Alternate Functions: The FN keys provides quick access to full multi-media controls for both PC and Mac as well as additional features for PC OS.

Make a point of using the splay and tenting functions on your Go!2 keyboard. This keyboard has beneficial ergonomic features which should not remain unused. It only takes a few seconds to make the necessary adjustments and the potential benefits are well worth it.
Try to ensure that your keyboard is optimized in relation to your hand height. If the keyboard is too low you will find yourself reaching down to the keyboard and putting your wrists into extension. This is much more common than working with the keyboard too high, but that is also a risk. You want to maintain as straight a line as possible through the forearm and wrist, with your elbows bent at approximately 90° (or slightly more than that). If the keyboard is too low, creating a negative angle by slightly elevating the edge of the keyboard closest to you can help to address this.
When keying the keyboard should be positioned so that your elbows are positioned below your shoulders. If you find your elbows more than a couple of inches ahead of your shoulders you need to shorten the distance between yourself and the keyboard. Maintaining a position where your elbows are too far forward can lead to the development of tension across the shoulders, or even more serious shoulder conditions.
Familiarize yourself with the embedded numeric keypad. The embedded keypad gives you two additional layers, one for numbers, and one for navigation (should that be desired). These layers are accessed via the same keys on the right hand module of the keyboard.
If there are times when you must key in large amounts of numeric data consider a Goldtouch Numeric Keypad.
Consider optional wrist supports to help avoid wrist extension when the keyboard is tented.
