The Eureka Sit-Stand Desktop Single Arm from Eureka Ergonomic converts a fixed-height desk into a height-adjustable sit-stand desk. It is free-standing (no clamping required) and easily moved to any position on the desk. A single hand-operated release permits infinite keyboard height adjustment to any point from 0.75" - 11.75" above the mounting surface. If mounted on a 29.5" high surface this will provide a standing height suited to those up to 5'8" to 5'9". Taller indivduals should consider other options that offer greater elevation. The upper worksurface where the display is mounted and the keyboard tray move in concert, maintaining a 5.75" difference between the two levels. In order to minimize the physical demands, adjustment is assisted by a gas spring rated up to a maximum combined rating of 30 lbs (5 on keyboard tray, 25 on worksurface). Cherry woodgrain finish and Black accents add a finishing touch to this sit-stand desk solution.
The keyboard tray features an 11" deep x 26" wide primary section that provides space for a full size keyboard and average mouse. If using a compact keyboard there is plenty of space for some speciality ergonomic mice that have larger footprints. Shallower 5.5" deep x 2.25" wide "wings" extend on both left and right sides and may provide some additional usable space for a standard mouse.
The upper worksurface is 20" deep and tapers from 31.5" W at the front to 27" at the rear. It will easily accommodate a large single monitor and may be able to support dual monitors mounted on a monitor arm (if the combined weight does not exceed the 25 lb. maximum rating. The surface provides space for multiple documents to be kept available.
The Eureka Sit-Stand Desktop Single Arm can be deployed on desks as shallow as 23". With the base at the front edge of the desk the keyboard tray will project approximately 10" when in the seated position, and about 5.5" when at the highest. On deeper desks the unit could be positioned further back to minimize the projection beyond the desk surface to just 4.5" when in the seated position.
