The HandshoeMouse SHIFT from Hippus NV combines the anatomically-derived ergonomics of the original HandshoeMouse with an enhanced convertible ambidextrous design. This highly functional ergonomic design addresses the 3 most common issues associated with the use of a computer mouse - gripping, pinching, and tensing of the fingers. Naturally supportive contours permit the hand and fingers to completely relax whether actively engaged with the mouse or just resting between movements. This relaxed position eliminates the sustained static tension commonly maintained when using a mouse, and associated with the development of RSI. With its convertible ambidextrous design and three size options, virtually anyone can receive full support of the hand, wrist and fingers while actively mousing, whether right- or left-handed. Two low force light click buttons and a scroll wheel (clickable for middle click) provide standard "Plug-and-Play" functions. For convenience the HandshoeMouse SHIFT offers both Bluetooth wireless (powered by a rechargeable internal battery) and corded functionality.
Note: For bluetooth connection the computer must have integrated bluetooth connectivity or be equipped with an external bluetooth receiver.

The HandshoeMouse SHIFT does not require any passive muscle tension or use, and discourages excessive muscle exertion while actively using the mouse, making it the only mouse on the market that is almost impossible to use incorrectly. The waterfall design of the HandshoeMouse SHIFT provides a naturally curved resting support for the fingers, allowing them to fully relax between clicks. This eliminates the negative effects from an anticipation of the click which on traditional mice results in raised, hovering fingers as well as overexertion and overextension of the extensor muscles. The design also incorporates a thumb rest which supports the thumb in a neutral and relaxed fashion making the HandshoeMouse a good option for those experiencing thumb-related issues such as DeQuervain’s Tenosynovitus. The recommended usage for this mouse is on the desk surface with the forearm fully supported by the desk or an arm rest.

Due to the greater amount of weight resting on a HandshoeMouse (larger mouse, weight of hand and part of forearm) it is recommended that a firm, low friction mousing surface be used to minimize resistance to movement.

HandshoeMouse SHIFT Sizing Chart.

The Penguin Ambidextrous Vertical Mouse from Posturite permits either hand to rest comfortably on the base, while maintaining a relaxed vertical orientation alongside the body of the mouse. Because the hand rests on the base and not on the desk, most movement of the mouse is achieved by employing the larger motor muscles in the forearm and upper arm. However, finer cursor control can be still be achieved with small hand and/or finger movements. The ambidextrous design and central "bow-tie" switch allow for easy transitioning between right and left handed use, encouraging load-balancing use throughout the day. The weight of the hand resting on the base ensures easy movement and control, greatly limiting any need to "grip" the mouse, and thus permitting the fingers to remain relaxed while still being in optimal position for clicking. Features include adjustable DPI (400, 600, 800, or 1200), a precision scroll wheel and BioCote, a silver-based antimicrobial coating. The Penguin is available in both wired and wireless rechargeable models.

In order to better meet the ergonomic requirements of the broadest range of individuals, the Penguin Mouse is available in 3 sizes - Small, Medium, and Large. This Sizing Chart can assist in determining which model will provide the best fit for those with hands that are evenly proportioned. However, for cases where unusually long fingers or a very broad palm exist we encourage you to contact us for sizing assistance.

The DXT Ergonomic Mouse 2 from City Ergonomics is a fingertip vertical mouse designed to enable the hand and wrist to adopt a relaxed vertical posture. Control of the mouse is achieved by using the small muscles and joints of the fingers as opposed to the larger muscle groups of the shoulder and arm. Since the fingertips provide much greater precision than the arm, this makes the DXT mouse suitable for those seeking precision and fine control. The DXT Ergonomic Mouse 2 features light click buttons to minimize the effort required for clicking. The unique ambidextrous design enables one to easily balance the workload between the left and right hands. The convenience of wireless encourages casual switching between right and left hand use.

The DXT Ergonomic Mouse 2 moves with minimal resistance, requiring nominal effort to accomplish effective cursor control. The weighted zinc base provides vertical stability and enhanced tactile feedback. There are four DPI (dots per inch) settings, further enhancing the sensitivity and increasing accuracy when performing fine cursor movements. This also facilitates greater control over the speed of the cursor when performing tasks requiring varying degrees of control. For extended battery life the DXT Wireless goes into "Sleep" mode after approximately 5 minutes of inactivity. The DXT Mouse 2 is also available as a Wired model.

Those with larger hands may wish to consider the DXT Mouse 3 models (wired or wireless). The DXT Sizing Chart can be used to determine whether a DXT 2 or DXT 3 mouse is more suitable.

The third generation DXT Mouse 3 from City Ergonomics is designed for those with average to larger size hands who may have found the DXT 2 to be a less than ideal size. It features improved contours and a new rubber thumb rest for even greater fingertip control than earlier models. This finger-controlled vertical mouse positions the hand and wrist in a relaxed natural vertical orientation. Control of the mouse is primarily achieved by employing the small muscles and joints of the fingers, with minimal involvement of the larger muscle groups of the shoulder and arm. The much greater precision attainable through the fingers makes the DXT Mouse 3 suitable for those requiring fine, precise cursor control. The DXT Mouse 3 features light click buttons to minimize the effort required for clicking and the unique ambidextrous design readily facilitates workload balancing between the left and right hands. The DXT Mouse 3 also includes convenient Back/Forward buttons and is overall larger and taller than the earlier DXT and DXT 2 models. As such it is also better suited to those with average to larger size hands. Those with smaller hands may wish to consider the wired or wireless versions of the DXT Ergonomic Mouse 2. The DXT Sizing Chart should be used to determine which DXT Mouse would be most suitable.

The DXT Mouse 3 moves with minimal resistance, requiring nominal effort to accomplish effective cursor control. The mouse is equipped with a weighted zinc base to ensure vertical stability and to optimize control by providing enhanced tactile feedback. With four DPI settings available at the touch of a button, the DXT Mouse 3 can meet the requirements for any type of work, regardless of the sensitivity and accuracy required.

The DXT Mouse 3 is also available in a traditional Wired version.

The Mousetrapper Delta returns to its 1994 family roots - the original rollerbar-driven inline pointing device mouse alternative. Now employing a new ultra-lightweight carbon-fibre rollerbar, the Delta offers virtually effortless ambidextrous cursor control. The 10" wide control bar is a generous 0.8" in diameter and features a lightly textured and slip-resistant surface that provides subtle tactile feedback for superior cursor control while still responding to the lightest of touches. The bar requires nominal pressure for clicking, reducing the potential for unintended cursor movement that can occur with rollerbar-style devices. In addition, the rollerbar click is easily disabled for those who would prefer to use a standard button. Unlike some roller-style devices where the rollerbar projects above the device, the bar on the Mousetrapper Delta is slightly recessed, reducing the risk of unintentional contact by the palms when transitioning from typing to mousing.

With 4.9" of lateral movement, the Mousetrapper Delta offers a greater range of bar movement than most other roller-style pointing devices. The Delta also monitors the range of cursor movement that is being utilized, and adapts the bar movement to optimize the range of cursor control. Six adjustable cursor speeds (up to 4000 dpi) can be selected according to personal preference and for occasions when very fine control is required there is the option of programming one of the buttons to "enhance cursor precision".

In addition to the clickable rollerbar, the Mousetrapper Delta is equipped with 6 fully programmable buttons. The default functions are Left & Right Click, Copy and Paste, and Zoom In & Zoom Out. All of these can be reassigned an extensive range of functions via the browser-based MT Keys Programming Interface for Chrome or Edge browsers. There is also a clickable scroll wheel that can be assigned one of several mouse click functions. Custom programming is neither software nor driver dependent as it is written to and stored on the Moustrapper Delta.

The Mousetrapper Delta is designed, developed and manufactured in Sweden using recycled plastics and is designed to be easily recycled again at the end of its life. The padded faux leather palm support is easily detached for cleaning when required. Included keyboard risers can be installed to offer two levels of elevation to better accommodate a range of keyboard profiles and a dual USB port supports charging or connection of two additional devices. Mousetrapper also offers firmware updates via their MT Keys web interface, making it incredibly easy to ensure that the Mousetrapper Delta is operating at peak efficiency.
Note: The Delta is a new addition to the Mousetrapper family so those who prefer the 2-dimensional Control Pad can still access the more mature Mousetrapper family members.

The Rockstick2 Mouse retains all of the benefits and functionality of the original Rockstick Mouse but introduces a new design and added capabilities. As with the original Rockstick Mouse, the Rockstick2 addresses one of the most repetitive activities of computer use--generating mouse clicks. Rather than using one or two fingers to click a button, the user simply rocks the body of the mouse, tilting it slightly to the left or right to generate a click. The strenth of the entire hand can be used to generate the click, rather than the much more limited strength of the index or middle fingers. This makes the Rockstick Mouse2 a potentially good alternative for individuals with trigger finger or arthritis, or for anyone who has difficulty clicking the buttons on a conventional mouse.

The new design is also ambidextrous, enabling both left- and right-handed users to experience the benefits. The scroll wheel is located on the inside of the mouse, where it can be accessed easily by the thumb. This newest model also features variable DPI and a flange to keep the little finger clear of the worksurface. Two size options (Small/Medium and Large) are available.

The BLUELINE Joystick from Pretorian is a technology-access device that connects via Bluetooth to any Apple devices with iOS13.4.1 onwards, Android devices, or other computing devices that have Bluetooth support, either internally or via an add-on bluetooth receiver dongle. The USB-rechargeable battery can provide up to 15 hours of continuous use. The BLUELINE Joystick is designed for those who may have limited hand control or strength, motor skill difficulties, poor hand-eye coordination, and lack of manual dexterity and offers excellent cursor control as well as up to 5 programmable button functions (3 on-board, 2 optional external). This functionality is packaged in a sturdy housing designed to survive under heavy use. The three on-board activation buttons are coloured and recessed to help guide the fingers into position. The symmetrical design makes this joystick suited for use with either hand by simply reprogramming the on-board switch configuration with the raised body providing support for the wrist.

The design of the BLUELINE Joystick offers precision control and requires minimal hand movement and just 0.5 Newtons of force to initiate cursor movement. The cursor moves very slowly when the joystick is minimally displaced from centre, permitting extremely accurate cursor positioning. As the displacement is increased the cursor accelerates to the chosen maximum speed (4 settings available). The adjustable maximum cursor speed also lets the BLUELINE Joystick be configured to serve the needs of those who may have limitations related to fine motor control, with the lowest cursor speed offering a greater level of control in that application. The joystick ships with the standard joystick, a T-Bar handle, or a soft-grip ball for configuration to meet personal requirements.

Three on-board buttons provide basic functions (primary functions vary with device) but are also custom programmable to perform a wide range of optional functions. The middle button is a lighter shade than the left and right buttons for easier identification. Dual mini-phono jacks also permit the attachment of external switches that can also be programmed. Available commands include Left Click, Right Click, Middle Click, Drag, Double Click, Delayed Drag, Swipe Left, and Swipe Right. Additional features and customization are also available. For full details on the available functions, customization of commands, and setup of the BLUELINE Joystick please read the User Manual.

The JAZZ Joystick from Pretorian was designed to address the needs of those who may lack fine motor skills. It can provide standard cursor control as well as switch scanning access. Unlike most other joysticks, the JAZZ is designed to specifically accommodate gross motor movements while providing accurate cursor control and switch scanning. Because the high-quality analogue joystick requires just 0.5 newtons of force to activate it is able to also serve the needs of individuals who also have limited strength in addition to reduced fine motor skills.

The Jazz Joystick has buttons for left click, right click (or double click), and drag lock functions. Dual mini-phono jacks also permit the attachment of external switches to provide easier access to the Left click function and for switching from Mouse Mode to Switch Scanning Mode. Differing needs can be met by changing the control surface between the included standard joystick, t-bar handle, or soft-grip ball. The Jazz can also be easily switched for left-handed operation which swaps the functions of the left and right buttons.

The enhanced cursor control is achieved by only permitting cursor movement to occur when the joystick is moved within a prescribed range of the horizontal and vertical axes (Standard Mode) or standard and diagonal axes (Diagonal Mode). Cursor activation is accompanied by an audible "click" (optional) to provide notification that movement has been achieved. Under standard operation the cursor begins movement slowly, accelerating to the selected maximum speed (4 available). When engaged the optional SmartTrack function modifies this behaviour by considering how long the cursor has been idle, providing more effective cursor control for those who are able to take advantage of this function.

The JAZZ Joystick features a durable heavy duty housing designed to survive heavy use. High contrast coloured buttons and control surfaces aid in determining position and function of the controls. The symmetrical design enables works equally well with either hand without having to angle the wrist. The large, integrated hand support/palm rest makes work posture more relaxed and less strained.

View the User Manual to see more details on making funtion modifications.

Note: The latest release of iOS13 for Apple portable devices includes support for USB Pointing Devices. This means that virtually all of the Pretorian Mouse Replacement solutions can now be used with iPads and iPhones that have iOS13 or newer. Connection to the portable device requires a "camera adapter cable". Because the mousing device will be powered by the phone or tablet it is preferable to use one with pass-through charging so the portable device can charge while the mousing device is attached and in use.

The X-Keys L-Trac Black Trackball from PI Engineering combines a high level optical sensor capable of resolutions up to 1600 CPI (counts per inch) with a robust build and history of durability, reliability and performance, carrying on the legacy of the L-Trac and PC-Trac Trackballs formerly manufactured by Clearly Superior Technologies. The L-Trac features an optical laser sensor that offers "button selectable" tracking resolutions of 400, 800 and 1600 CPI, easily changed on the fly. Combined with this is the ability of the L-Trac to track at speeds exceeding 30 inches per second, even at a 20G acceleration rate. A wide light touch scroll wheel or cylinder is readily accessible, located above the center button. In addition, two 3.5 mm jacks permit the attachment of two external switches which can be programmed to perform an additional two actions, resulting in full 5-button functionality. The programming software can also be used to disable or reassign any or all of the on-board buttons when used with external switches in an assistive application.

The L-Trac provides users with a precision, high performance pointing device. The large 57 mm diameter weighted trackball produces predictable, quick, and precise cursor control. Most users will find that movement becomes intuitive within a few minutes of use, with the level of control increasing over time.

The level of performance and range of features, coupled with the proven contour of the L-Trac makes these trackballs an appropriate option for all applications including general computing, gaming and Computer Aided Design (CAD). CAD users love it because a line can be dragged one pixel even on high resolution displays. Then, with a button stroke, the cursor can fly around the screen to get general tasks done. The L-Trac is known for providing fingertip control and precision, high performance tracking.

Designed to minimize the effects of contamination build up and the resultant degradation of performance, this high performance laser trackball uses highly polished stainless steel rollers. These rollers tend to collect less dirt and debris than the mechanisms used in most other trackballs and are easily cleaned by spinning the ball rapidly.

The Mousetrapper Flexible is a compact portable inline / central pointing device that offers the convenience and flexibility of both wired and wireless operation. As with all other members of the MouseTrapper family of devices, the Flexible facilitates cursor control through the innovative "steering pad". Incorporating features and concepts of both a touchpad and a treadmill, the steering pad offers fingertip control for precise cursor movement, left click activation and vertical scrolling. A ring of 9 buttons surrounding the steering pad provide the standard mouse button functions, browse forward and back, and access to common keyboard shortcuts as well as additional functions. All buttons and cursor speeds are also fully reprogrammable if desired.

The Mousetrapper Flexible sits directly below the keyboard with the steering pad centered below the alpha-numeric keys, able to be controlled by either hand. It features a slip-free silicone traction surface for the finger tips, offering near-effortless onscreen navigation and cursor control. The fingers can rest on the steering pad between mouse activation tasks, with clicking accomplished simply by pressing down against the pad. Because the fingers are physically moving the steering pad there is a much greater degree of tactile feedback than is provided by traditional touchpads, which in turn facilitates a greater degree of accuracy and control. As well, because the steering pad is not touch-sensitive there is no fear of movement disruption if additional fingers contact the steering pad - in fact, most people will naturally use multiple fingers to move the pad, making it a more natural movement than traditional touchpad control. The two-dimensional steering pad also offers an intuitive interface that for some may be easier to adjust to than rollerbars, touchpads or trackballs.

Note: Plugging the device in keeps the battery fully charged for mobile use. For portability, the Mousetrapper Flexible can be packed into the included neoprene travel bag (SMT507 model only). The included wireless receiver stores in a compartment on the underside.
